I”ll be pushing 35 end of this year, and after having 2 children, my body just ain’t what it used to be.
I’ve tried it all: Bikram Yoga, Dailey Method, Bar Method, S Factor, Personal Training, you name it! I’ve been searching high and low for an addictive workout, supportive environment, and overall positive attitude and community.
Thank GOD for the women at Elevate Group Fitness. Teachers and practitioners alike.
I love how the teachers begin each class with a positive encouraging message, totally sets you in the mood to try your best. The teaching style is very calm and meditative.
I I love how the practitioners are supportive and encouraging. And the workout? It’ll leave you feeling sore the next day, but it’ll keep you coming back for more! I so look forward to it trekking my fat ass here every day

If you are looking for inner peace, tranquility, focus & positive attitude, Elevate Group Fitness is the place to go!!
I have been attending Elevate classes for over a year, and love every minute of the class no matter who is leading it.
Elevate has an intimate setting so is good for those who like a community feel when they work out. The teachers, Blake, Jada, Rachel and Kristen, Amanda all offer different insight and leadership with each class, so anyone and everyone feels comfortable. You are free to practice yoga or Pilates structures within any class.
My most favorite part about Elevates classes is the beginning when each teacher reads a message of Inspiration to set the mood of the day. I have adopted the “Change your Attitude and you can Change the World” message as my mantra.
For me, Elevate takes care of their customers by ensuing everyone feels welcome, peaceful and successful. Elevate is definitely the cream of the crop and stands out from the rest of the yoga studios on Ocean Avenue. Jada/Johnny:Thank you for coming into the Ocean Ave Neighborhood………. Love you guys…..”

This is a great workout studio. I love Rachel’s yoga class and Jada’s fusion. I wish I could keep this place a neighborhood secret, but Jada has an incredible little studio and great energy. The first few classes will kick your ass but you’ll feel stronger and healthier after each workout. The staff is very friendly and so are the other members.”

Historically, I have never enjoyed working out and have really struggled to get into any kind of routine with exercise. Since starting this class however, I have been working out more regularly and I actually look forward to it! Time flies with these workouts, which are fun and challenging.
Every single person I have met who works here is incredibly nice and helpful. The other students are also pretty friendly, which together just makes for an all around nice environment. The space itself is beautiful, clean and comfortable.
It’s very convenient that everything is provided including mats, water (if you are always forgetting to bring your water bottle like me) and sweat towels, without an extra charge for these items.
The evening yoga classes are also great, and a terrific way to end your day!”

Empowered, Zen, Balanced, Focused, Grateful, Fun, Thorough, Fast, Effective
These are all the words that come to mind when i think of my workouts at Elevate.
I have been attending the classes for about a month 2-3 times per week and I think I have found my perfect workout.I bought a starter pack after attending one of the free intro classes held on Tuesday and Thursday. You really need to go to this class!
Time flew…I sweat up a storm and it was the most effective total body workout I have had in years.
I had done Pilates and a bit of bar method in the past, but this studio has designed a routine that fuses those with Yoga and resistance training. It’s da bomb. AND….the big bonus is that i don’t have to drive across town to workout.
Finally i am seeing some progress on the chicken flaps on my arms. It’s the only work out that has ever made a dent with these suckers.
Parking is way easy. Studio is super clean. Heck…i don’t even need to bring a mat because they provide them.
and the biggest bonus is that i don’t even have to wear shoes to break my sweat and i can just slip on my flip flops afterwards.
It’s also a super mellow and non judgmental environment. This place is a gem.
Go check out Elevate. You won’t be sorry.”

A friend convinced me to go to Elevate after researching classes in the neighborhood because they offer Free introduction classes on Tuesday and Thursday evenings to try out their signature “Fusion” classes.
The studio is clean and organized. They have mats you can borrow which are cleaned after each use with natural ingredients like witch hazel and lavender.
The staff is friendly and the owner, Jada , is great! She was also the instructor.
The class was fast paced and tailored to beginners with a combination of yoga, Pilates and cardio. I have only been working out at the gym and doing laps on the treadmill, which is not much, so we really felt we got a good workout. They offer discounts if you sign up so that makes the classes $10 instead of $20 for walk-ins. I have not done group classes for years, but this looks like it is one I will try. It was a lot of fun! Very balanced and allowed you to feel balanced and centered. They class began with a quote something like: ‘If you think you can do a thing or think you can’t do a thing, you’ re right.’
This place is all about CAN!” - Lynda S. // Yelp Review – ★★★★★ October 8, 2012
I am NOT getting paid or bribed to write this review!!! This studio is amazing on every level. The instructors are excellent at what they teach and are genuinely sweet and caring and fun. The FUSION class is a fun, fat blasting experience and the YOGA and PILATES classes are fulfilling, fun and effective. The studio is gorgeous, immaculately clean and it has excellent circulation. I have been to several gymns, classes, clubs and studios all over the country and ELEVATE is TOP NOTCH. Jada has created a sanctuary where someone can go and work out and bless themselves spiritually and psychologically as well as physically. AWESOME STUDIO. I am so grateful to have found this place.”

I’ve been to just about every kind of fitness class possible, and Elevate’s classes are by far the most fun and challenging. I’ve never not watched the clock while working out, and I don’t even want to look at it when I’m at Elevate–although I never really get the chance! Class moves super fast between really challenging but fun movements and short breaks to catch your breath and readjust.
I heard about Jada through a friend who had been to her classes at a previous studio, and she was as bubbly and friendly as I had heard. Actually, both Jada and Blake are amazingly upbeat and fun. There’s no pretentious here, even though the studio is gorgeous and Jada and Blake are obviously fitness addicts. Everyone was super warm and welcoming, and made everyone feel like they were fitness buffs, too! Blake introduced himself and shook my hand before my first class started, and he was friendly and energetic the entire time. He and Jada both give really helpful corrections, and even let you know when you have great form or are doing something really well. It’s nice to be told you’re doing something right in a class!
Even if you’ve never done yoga, Pilates or barre, everything is explained really well. Since you can adjust the resistance bands, everyone works at their own level and the guys are sweating as much as the girls. And yes, you sweat. A lot. Bring water, for goodness sake.
I think my favorite thing is that the instructors’ attitudes are so great that you end up smiling while you’re grunting. Everyone seems to have fun, and it’s pretty addictive. I went to my normal gym today and was so bored that I wanted to run back to Elevate. I’m a fusion convert.”

First let me say that I am not being paid by Elevate to write this review or anything. I have been raving nonstop about this place because I enjoy it THAT MUCH.
I LOVE this place. It has kick started me back into a healthy routine.
Working out at the gym on my own can be boring. Elevate offers great Fusion classes. It’s a mix of yoga, Pilates, and barre movements. I have only taken a few classes so far, but I am already loving it and the world of soreness I am in. It’s actually pretty fun!!!So far I have taken a yoga class by Jenny, Jada’s fusion class, and as well with Blake.
Each instructor has a different style.Jenny really has a strong focus on flow and breath in her class. I loved it because it goes at my pace. Her cool down method includes a self massage that I love.
Jada is great! She is super friendly (also the owner) and really takes time to make sure each student has great form. Maybe you are not quite yet at the level she is doing a certain exercise but that is fine, she will always demonstrate modifications.
I took Blake’s course last night and all I can say is OMG. First of all, if you don’t know his background, you should look it up. He’s definitely inspired me to push myself a bit harder. I can’t keep up 100% in his class (yet) but I intend to. I’ll get there, one day. He really jumps into the class and his style kind of reminds me of CrossFit and BodyRock.
I’m looking forward to taking classes with the other instructors!
This place is very clean! Don’t worry about bringing anything. Just bring yourself (in your work out gear , duh), an open and focused mind, and be prepared to work it out! If you forgot your water or towel, they have some available… No need to bring a yoga mat either, they’re already at the studio.
All instructors are friendly, no pretentious snobby attitude that you can sometimes get at a studio, and they’re all very open to questions.. especially if you need help.If you don’t believe me, come see for yourself. Don’t be shy, come check it out. Jada teaches a free intro course on Tuesday and Thursday nights at 6pm, for 50 minutes. Although it is an intro course, you WILL work up a sweat, trust me.
.. And if you see me here, don’t be afraid to say hi. I am not that mean, I promise. I’m just really really focused when I’m in class.” - Shaunda B. // Yelp Review – ★★★★★ July 17, 2012
This is my favorite studio in the city, hands down. The awesome instructors combine a perfect balance of customized attention, positive energy, and encouragement at all levels so that I was able to push myself to achieve a full body workout that left me feeling energized.
I recently took the Fusion Class from both Jada and Blake and discovered muscles I had never worked in other classes. I found myself laughing and having fun during class instead of dreading it, which makes me to actually want to work out! Not only do they have customized resistance bands that make the Pilates aspect super easy to adjust, the location is convenient, parking is good, and they offer perks such as points and nutrition. Love this place!”

Love the studio and all the instructors I’ve met thus far (Jayda, Blake and Meredith). Instructors are extremely professional, studio is clean and spacious and the great workout is guaranteed! You have to try the signature fusion class!”
- Lolly A. // Yelp Review – ★★★★★ July 6, 2012
This gym is exceptional! The fusion class was the most fun I have ever had in doing a work out. Jayda (the amazing instructor and co-owner) truly knows how to make you have so much fun while you exercise, you forget you are doing something good for yourself. I highly recommend this gym. They offer a free class on Thursdays at 6pm, so check it out for yourself.”
- Maria M. // Yelp Review – ★★★★★ July 2, 2012
Full disclosure the owner of this amazing studio used to be my personal trainer and I have always seen fantastic results. So when Jada recently opened this studio I decided to take her Fusion Class and I was very impressed. First off, she creates her own personal touch to the class that allows you to relax and connect with your spiritual power. I found that the class has just the right amount of balance to get a full body, all over workout without being overwhelmed. Having had major back surgery in my past this course allows me to push my flexibility and tone my body without being in pain. The blend of resistance training and cardio as well as muscle building has I love being able to come each week to a new and fun class with good music that fits great with the workout flow.
I highly reccommend Elevate Group Fitness and the great thing is you can purchase points so if you enjoy the Fusion Course yet want to do yoga, the studio offers other courses throughout the week.”
- Roxanne S. // Yelp Review – ★★★★★ July 1, 2012
Beautiful, warm studio. I took an evening yoga class that was wonderful. The instructor and the owner were both kind, patient and enthusiastic. I look forward to trying some of the other classes here. There is quite a variety of classes. The studio has resistance bands on the walls that look like they would be a great workout tool. I will definitely be back!”
- Lisa T. // Yelp Review – ★★★★★ June 13, 2012
This is a gorgeous studio, you will love working out here with Jayda Law! Her fusion class is a combination of all my favorites – pilates, yoga, bar and resistance band work – a real total body workout. Jayda is not only an amazing instructor, she’s also just a great human being who somehow found a way to make working out fun. I highly recommend checking out a class at Elevate!”
